How it Works...
Don't worry if you
consider yourself "artistically challenged". We offer expert instruction and have tons of ideas and design
tools to assist you on your creative adventure. No experience is necessary.
What it Cost...
Our bisqueware ranges in price from $12.00 to $110.00. Most people find a piece they love for under $25.00.
We have over 200 bisqueware items from functional to decorative. All pieces are individually priced and includes
professional glazing
and baking of your finished confection. We provide music, atmosphere,
paint, painting materials and ideas. Remember, there's always a skilled artist to help you
with your piece.
Just follow these easy steps...
Make sure your hands are
clean and free from oil.
Step One ~ Choose your ceramic piece...
We have a wide selection of bisqueware
waiting to become a one of a kind masterpiece, including platters, plates, bowls, teapots, light switches, lamps, knobs,
letters, boxes, banks and much, much more...
Step 2 ~ Choose your Colors...
We
feature over 50 different colors to choose from! Including puffy paints, all non-toxic, water soluble and food safe.
(Some specialty paints are for decorative purposes only like our chalk board and sand glazes.)
Step 3 ~ Have Fun!
Once at the table, it is recommended to clean the piece with a sponge and water. You can sketch your design with
a regular pencil (this will burn off during firing) or you can just paint. The paints are ready to use, no water is
necessary, and at least three coats are recommended to have a rich, solid color. Just remember to let your piece dry
in between coats and  that light colors will not cover dark colors very well.
Step 4 ~ Ready for Glazing
Once your piece
is painted, we will "glaze and bake your confection" so it will then be food, microwave and dishwasher safe.
We'll even clean up after you, so just leave your materials on the table!
Step
6 ~ Ready to see your work!?
Your finished masterpiece will be ready to pick up at the studio in 7 to 10 days.
(Depending on kiln schedule.) You will be called if your piece is ready sooner. For our out-of-town guests rest assured your finished pieces will be wrapped with care and shipped via
the USPS, at current rates. Please allow additional time for packing and mailing your package.
In a hurray... your piece may be fired sooner at the additional cost of $45.00 for us to fire
up the kiln specially for your piece. Chocolate Soup will only guarantee delivery by a specific date when the above
expedite fee is paid in advance.
